Many thanks to Dr. Trent Lancaster and staff at Cottonwood Animal Hospital for saving my life Aug. 12 after I swallowed a plastic drain pipe and a 2" rock. Your prompt response, equipped facility and surgical training helped make it possible for me to celebrate my first birthday Sept. 9. AWESOME JOB!!

This is an amazing vet clinic. They are a bit more expensive then the other vet in Ottawa but they are worth every penny of it. They do both large and small animals. Before we started coming here they had not done alot with rabbits but they were more then willing to help with what they could. We have come to them for horses, cats, dogs, rabbits all with health issues and also to have animals put down (they send a sympathy card after). The staff is amazing, they will always remember your name. They have a secretary names Gina who is just an amazing person. She teaches puppy/dog classes that are WORTH IT! Petco charges $100 for 6 weeks of class; this clinic charges $65 for 7 weeks of class. They accept a Care Credit card and are more then happy to work with you in a payment situation. They do sell Science Diet food for both cats and dogs, along with leashes, collars, treats, toys and identification tags.

I suggest going to this clinic to everyone! They are amazing with animals and really know what they are doing.

Excellent Care: This hospital is awesome! If you have large animals, Dr. Mages is the best veterinarian we have seen. They have inside pens for horses and cattle. They are very reasonably priced too! You can count on them 24 hours a day.

Brought my sick Cocker Spaniel in and not only did she receive excellent care, but the doctor was very gentle with her and took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why. They even did a follow-up call in about to week to see how she was doing. Excellent service. Thank you.

Without a doubt… the best, most compassionate care guaranteed 24/7 service.

Dr. Mages and Dr. Erwin both are approved by our herd. It really takes something for a VET to be approved by our stallion.

THE best place I have ever taken my animals. It is not often that a dog just LOVES to go see the vet. Dr. Lancaster is awesome! Very thorough and I agree with Julie, he has a very special touch. Cottonwood was there for us during the flood of 2007, I do not know what I would have done without them. Constance/Paola

On July 4, 2008 Dr. Lancaster was on duty I was from out of town. Our Chihuahua was attacked by a Mastiff. He survived!!! Our dog has fully recovered, back to being himself. He thinks he dominates the world again! Thank you Dr. Lancaster!!!! Geronimo runs again! Toni & John/Olathe

Highly Recommend Stopped by to just check out boarding rates. Very impressed with staff and building. Very, very clean. While checking about boarding rates, I was asked if I would like to check out their boarding area. Was given tour of the boarding area, and was very impressed with how clean and roomy the area was. Rates maybe a "little" higher than others in the Ottawa area, but WELL worth it.

Great Service! We went here for the first time today & we had a great experience. We actually didn't plan on going here originally but we are really glad we did. We drove from KC all the way to Ottawa with a carload of dogs & cats just to find out the vet we usually go to was on vacation with no notice, so we asked someone in town if there was another vet and they highly recommended Cottonwood Animal Hospital. When we got there we were pleasantly surprised and very impressed by their office! It is by far the nicest one I have ever seen, the staff is really nice and took the time to explain and answered all of our questions. I think this was also the first vet I have ever been to were the dogs and cats were not freaked out, they were very relaxed and I could tell they felt comfortable being there during the exam which made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. So if you are looking for a Vet office that is reasonably priced, has a caring staff, a clean environment, and you want all your questions answered then I would highly recommend Cottonwood Animal Hospital!
